The principles and tradition of the Sikhi bars visible depiction of the Sikh Gurus. Any attempt to do so faces strong opposition from the Sikh panth. The makers of controversial film titled ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ had withdrawn the film in 2015, when it was first release, in wake of global outrage by the Sikh community. The filmmakers against released it in April 2018. The move was opposed by the Sikhs.
